I februar kan du møte produsent Jeffrey Brown da han kommer til Halden for den første årlige Halden Internasjonale Musikk Film Festival.

Jeffrey Brown bor i Wimberley, nær Austin, Texas og jobbet med musikkvideoer og filmfestivaler i Tsjekkia i flere år. Han har produsert en rekke prisbelønte feturefilmer og dokumentarer i Europa, Afrika, Asia og Nord-Amerika. Filmene hans har vært vist på internasjonale festivaler som Sundance, IDFA, Tribeca, SXSW , Full Frame, Rotterdam, New York FF, Edinburgh, Jeonju, Durban.

Filmene hans har blitt vist på kinoer internasjonalt så vel som på Netflix, HBO, Showtime, PBS, ESPN, AMC, Sundance Global, Sky TV, Starz m.m.

• Mamas & Papas (regi. Alice Nellis) fikk pris for beste film og beste manus på Hamptons International Film Festival 2010

• Shut Up and Shoot Me, en tsjekkisk-britisk samproduksjon, vant Best Narrative Feature på 2007 AFI Dallas International Film Festival.

• Nothing Stays the Same vant publikumsprisen på SXSW i 2019 og ble solgt internasjonalt til Amazon

• Cowboys hadde premiere på Austin Film Festival 2019 og vant publikumsprisen. Den har fått internasjonal distribsusjon og blitt vist på ARTE i Tyskland og Frankrike.

In February, you can meet Producer Jeffrey Brown as he will be joining us in Halden for the first annual Halden International Music Film Festival.

Based near Austin, Texas and splitting his time with work in Europe, Jeffrey has produced a number of award-winning narrative features and feature documentaries in Europe, Africa Asia, and North America, playing international festivals such as Sundance, IDFA, Tribeca, SXSW, Full Frame, Rotterdam, New York FF, Edinburgh, Jeonju, Durban.

His films have have been released in cinemas internationally as well as on Netflix, HBO, Showtime, PBS, ESPN, AMC, Sundance Global, Sky TV, Starz and others with award winners that include:

• Mamas & Papas (dir. Alice Nellis) was awarded Best Film and Best Script at the 2010 Hamptons International Film Festival

• Shut Up and Shoot Me, a Czech-British co-production, won Best Narrative Feature at the 2007 AFI Dallas International Film Festival.
