ATHLETIC SOUND

The Athletic Sound Studio is all about the music – found 40 years ago in 1983 by renowned producer Kai Andersen (Dr Kai) and tucked away in the Halden, Athletic Sound is located in an 18th century school building in the heart of the town.

Producers and artists love working at Athletic Sound, and over the years, Athletic Sound has recorded more than 1000 artists. It is a studio that nurtures the analogue values and at the same time welcomes the modern recording era. We just opened our brand-new control room, built after the highest specifications for professional recording studios.

The control room is constructed around a SSL 4000G, a 40channel console supported by a large number of new and vintage equipment, but also still have the option to track on tape, with a OTARI MTR90 MkII.
